About Daydreamers Anesthesia

Daydreamers Anesthesia is a Houston-based anesthesia group specializing in plastic and cosmetic surgery. Our anesthesiologists and CRNAs provide individualized anesthesia care in office-based surgical suites, ambulatory surgery centers, and hospitals. We work closely with surgeons and their teams to provide safe, reliable care while supporting an efficient surgical experience.

Dr. Kevin S. Chap

Dr. Kevin Chap is a board-certified anesthesiologist and Houston native. He graduated as valedictorian from the University of Houston before attending McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston through the Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP). He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and completed his anesthesiology residency at UTHealth Houston.

During his training, Dr. Chap developed extensive experience in airway management, regional and neuraxial anesthesia, acute pain management, and perioperative care. He trained under nationally recognized airway expert Dr. Carin Hagberg and performed at the 99th percentile nationally on his anesthesiology examinations.

After more than a decade in private practice, Dr. Chap founded Daydreamers Anesthesia with a focus on anesthesia care for plastic and cosmetic surgery. He works closely with surgeons, surgical facilities, and anesthesia providers to build reliable teams and deliver safe, efficient, individualized care in office-based surgical suites, ambulatory surgery centers, and hospitals.

Dr. Chap lives in Houston with his wife and three children. Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling, hiking, rock climbing, soccer, and spending time with his family.
